Easy Sketches For Beginners – Drawing Face
Easy sketches for beginners. There is a basic part of human anatomy that is often drawn by beginners, namely the face. The face can express a person’s condition whether he is angry, sad or happy. In the face, portrait will be the main focus point.
Face drawings that are easy for beginners using a pencil are complicated and difficult, but not as difficult as easy drawing anime. The first thing you should do is draw a line, to make it easier for you to paint. This beginner step-by-step tutorial is for men’s basic faces. The proportions are different for women. Remember to use a blunt HB graphite pencil for these steps. Remember, the darker you go and the harder you press, the harder it is to remove your underlay/guideline.
In this article, you will see how to draw certain face shapes.
Learn how to draw realistic for beginners :
1. Start with a circle
Draw a large circle and draw a horizontal line underneath it for the chin. Then sketch the jaw. Draw a vertical line in the middle of the face and make sure both sides of the face are symmetrical.
2. Draw guidelines on the face
There are 2 ways to do this step:
a. A ruler or no ruler
I highly recommend using the ruler method for the first few faces that you draw. Why? Because doing this step makes your proportions mess. Especially if you have trouble finding ‘central’ objects with your eyes. The method without a ruler requires you to divide some parts of the face in half and then in half again.
The Ruler Method: Create a ruler next to your image that is the same height. The ruler must be marked so that there are eight equal spaces. Always start with the centerline.
Draw faint lines on the face on the mark labeled CENTER LINE, 2, 3, A, and C. When you are familiar with this, you don’t need to draw a ruler on the side.
b. Method Without Ruler: Without a ruler, I draw lines in this order: CENTERLINE, 2, 3, B, A, C (B is included because it’s easier to break the forehead part into the first two parts, especially when you draw freely). This is the method I use to draw heads one by one.
3. Draw eyes in the right place
On the face, mark the centerline with Four lice spread evenly. Eyes will sit roughly on this line. Don’t be afraid to move slightly above or below the line, because the eyes are usually tilted. If you want to attract more mysterious men’s eyes, click here.
4. Proportional nose image
Extend 2 lines where the inner corner per eye is located. This guide will determine the width of the nose. Now we have a box, now it’s time to draw.
Start with a circle, place it anywhere between lines 1 and 2. You can give your male character a more chiseled appearance by drawing a nose using a very angular shape.
5. Add eyebrows
Spread the nose across the eyelid to determine the brow bone (this step is optional). These lines must be very light. Using a 4B pencil, draw eyebrows along the brow bone. Facial features that can increase virility are thick bushy eyebrows!
6. Use the triangle shape to draw lips
Draw a vertical line in the middle of each eye. This will mark the outer border of the lips. Click here for my lips tutorial. If you have read it, place your triangle in the small box under your nose to begin. If you pull your nose far above line 2, extend the triangle so that the tip touches the nose.
7. Add ears
The Middle Line and Line 2 mark the general limit for per ear.
8. Draw hair
Draw the top hairline between lines A and B. It’s up to you how big your forehead you want. To draw a receding hairline, continue to the top of the A-line. When you draw a man’s face, bring hair from the side of the head to make the hairline look clear and dense.
If you have an electric eraser, use it to quickly get rid of all the guidelines that apply to your image. You can clean certain dark spots or narrow spaces with a kneaded eraser.
Experiment with Drawing Different Types of Faces
As always, you don’t need to obey the exact guidelines above. Learn how to draw a head using basic guidelines and then mix and match facial features and face proportions.
Learn to draw unique faces by experimenting with various eye shapes, eyebrow angles, nose length/width. Through this fun exercise, you will be able to draw faces faster with less effort, identify proportional errors when you revisit old images, identify what makes certain faces look more realistic than others, can draw cartoons, caricatures and more.

Start by drawing two overlapping circles. Where these two circles intersect at eye level. Divide downward and laterally into four sections.

Draw two lines from both sides of the circle, this line will show where the forehead and cheekbones sit. Right at the middle junction, draw the nose and proceed withdrawing the mouth underneath.
3. Explore different proportions
Free to experiment with circles to give different head dimensions, use different circle sizes.
4. Line up the features
Now complete all parts of the face, give a proportional size in each part. Draw the original thin sketch, bold to give the line firmness. Here you have completed 75% of your work.
5. Consider differences between male and female faces
Men have angular faces compared to women. The shape is hard, other than a soft round female face shape in general.
6. Finish with some hair
Hair has a variety of shapes, start by making a basic hair shape. Then add direction to the hair, remember to draw a stroke from the crown of the head. To give hair a more natural appearance, I introduce a sense of heaviness to the bottom of the shape. Try drawing hair shapes with thicker lines and thinner internal lines.
